India is a country in Asia. After China, it has the world's largest population (1billion).To the north, are the Himalayan Mountains. Here you can find Mount Everest, the tallest peak in the world. India also has a desert , the Thar. Itıs main river is called the Ganges. Indian children enjoy playing soccer, cricket and badminton. A popular Indian activity is "kho kho", a very fast game of running and tagging others. English is spoken by many with Hindi , one of the 18 official language of India. Did you know that it was ancient India which gave the world the idea of the zero? If you travel to India, make sure to visit it's most famous landmark, the Taj Mahal! Let's Explore India...
